Goro Nickel – Storage tanks

4 FRP storage tanks at the diameter of 8.5 [m] at different volumes up to 900 m3

Between the years 2005-2008 at the island of New Caledonia the world largest Nickel mine was built by the Goro company.

The project included building a sea port and all the facility and state of the art technology needed for the mining and extraction of Nickel. The site crew included over 6,000 personals.

BEL was chosen to design and manufacture 4 storage tanks at the diameter of 8.5 [m], the largest was at the highest of 16 [m] and at the volume of 900 m3. The tanks are been used to store different acids at temperatures of 90o C and over and under pressure.
